I'll bet I can tune it in to the high 20's for highway cruising.

Hahaha, Chris how hard will these maps be to download and install? I might sacrifice the mpg for the go juice as to not be too embarassed by the Fcars and Lcars

No need to download anything – with the Electromotive Tec I can program the car to run on the lean side during higher vacuum running (like cruising) and then richen up as the boost comes up – this is good for both economy and response – the slightly lean mixture will create higher exhaust temps – this is good for initial spool up.

I have got my car to run (at cruise) as high as 18:1 with no problems!

Everyone: this is why Chris White kicks all ***.

Chris: Awesome, any other Tec3 aces up the sleeve for drivability/stuff I'll use on the street for the event? I still don't think I know the full extent of what this EMS can do for this project. The main reason I went for it was because it replaces all the old wiring that can cause problems later....you the man Chris

Cool! I have mine set-up to lean cruise @ 16:1, no issues here either. I have noticed anything above 17:1 is significantly less power... Haven't tried as lean as 18:1.

Humm. That's nice to know that. Thanks for sharing that about the Tec. Good way to help in several areas.

Dan: YES! It will be put out on DVD, also during the race I'll have guys in Austraila posting my progress and pics on the internet (i'll give everyone the address). I have to check in with them at each stage etc. Its going to be great. On the DVDs they interview the drivers/co pilot etc and go into detail on EVERY ASPECT. Its going to be S I C K!

Default Radiator

Radiator came in (was hand delivered to the shop in NC). Its a little beat on but this isn't going to be the prettiest car ever...just a very very functional one. This beast is H U G E!

The delay on the body is the media blasting guy is having trouble with a shipment - no biggie just a bit of a delay. The guys at the shop (Lynn, Kyle & Brooks) are being great about everything, updating me on parts arriving and on plans for layout etc. These guys are a joy to work with, truly they are.

You can see the horrible company my parts stay with Oh they have it so rough !

One thought would to be changing the coolant lines to a stainless steel braided line with AN fittings on the inlet/outlet of the rad. Don't know how possible this is, but I'm going to go over it with Chris and see what we come up with.

Thanks Lynn!

Nice, is that what you call beat up? Looks great. And what is that body Shelby Cobra replica?

Sure is, the shop I'm using churns out all kinds of hot rods - and Shelby replicas that could make the factory ones look bad. They recently just finished one and it was AMAZING...I'll get Lynn to post some pics.

Guns, just to clarify, this radiator is going into your Porsche, yes? If so is there going to be any fitting issues with the size? How much bigger is it going to be over stock?

333:Well I don't know the stock rad's dimensions but this bad boy is 32" wide 19" tall and 5" thick. Yes its going in the Porsche, I'm cutting off the entire front end of the car just in front of the motor. The rad supports etc are going away. (see design above). Considering the stock rad is only about 2" thick and this is 5" its a whole hell of alot bigger - the thickness is where I'm getting a lot of the benifits.

If someone can post the stock dimensions of the radiator that would help contrast the size difference.
