Why you'd ever want the spend the money on a Cayenne engine is beyond me. The LS1 is an easy swap, fits fine, makes tons of power, is easily upgradable and revs higher than most people's 944 engines. Seems like a win win to me.

I agree - much better engine.
The 928 is better suited for a boat anchor.
I bet I could convert one to burn diesel - it would probably be much happier.

Yes, it's mostly a tubeframe car but it's still a 944 silhouette with a Weissach/Stuttgart V-8 in it. I'd hit it ( if it was turbo'd that is).
