Default Lindsey's Breather Tank

I'm trying to find out if this really makes a difference...

I've got a track car that's a 968 turbo conversion, and I really want to know if this would make an improvement...either from a performance perspective, or from a reliability/maintenance standpoint.

For those of you who have done it, what are the gains/positives?

Will this help protect my engine or turbo by removing the reintroduction of oil vapors?

I'd really like to know...

'Tis the season you know!

My car had one on it when I bought it along with some other things so I can't say for sure that it made any gains as far as driving goes. I will say however that compared with my previous 951's and my dad's 951, the engine bay is so much cleaner. My car also has the cycling valve deleted so working under the intake is much nice not having to to deal with all those extra pipes.

My two cents since I've had one. Does it help? Yes. Would I get it more so for a track car? Yes. Will you feel the seat of the pants difference, no. But does it help to vent the crank and will allow you to maintain higher octane ratings, hence, possibly lower the chance of detonation? Yes. So for the money, it is a "wise" investment, or, you could always build a DYI one for cheaper too. Read this thread too, it may help you. Good luck, and remember that the search button always helps too.

Tis the season.....

You want one thats plumbed back to the intake like stock, to put some vacuum on the crankcase. I dont know if LR offers one like this.

Do a search and you will find lots of good stuff regarding catch cans. The long and the short is that they are worth having but, as theedge said, you want a recirculating setup. I am working with a company to have the modify their existing recirc design with 3/4" fittings to make it plug and play with our cars. Should no something in a week or two.

Those are nice, but first time I've seen a check valve recommended for forced induction engines.

Hey Mark - prototype is being worked on as we speak. I've seen some prelim pics and it looks nice. Hopefully I should know more by this weekend.
