Markus did you look into fitting the oil cooler on the side first instead of the 3 layer solution?

With BMW 745 T TB you get 9mm enlargement.

Yeah that's what I thought but I have heard a bit of uncertainty on that number. As an aside, I was lead to be mildly concerned in fitting a 66mm one in, but there were certainly no adjustments to throttle modulation to get used to. Some people had expressed concerns that it would be more of an on-off switch but didn't notice anything like it if that's of any help to anyone else.

Patrick - the driveability of my 75mm TB is like STOCK.
There was absolutely zero compromise involved with this mod.
The important thing to do with a big single is retain the factory progressive linkage - a lot of geniuses toss this when they convert the linkage for use on another car.

I used that TB allready last year with stock intake manny and 2.5 liter engine.. It did not hesitate or anything when I was playing with throttle. Allthough I had to re-adjust throttle pump setting in ECU because it did hestiate a little bit on lower engine speed, felt like it started to choke, most likely because of that extra amount of air getting into the cilinders in lower speed due to bigger throttle body..

I think it will work just fine with 3.0 liter engine and its more then enough for 600hp!

Now back to variable cam timing.. I found one interesting video how much difference it will make in more modern system when cam timing can be adjusted between 85 and 135 degrees. Cam timing is a crucial facktor on streetcars with bigger turbos and seems that this option is good to have..

I can't believe you! The only reason why I went with the 66mm unit is because thats the max your intake could ever flow. If you had a larger intake, I would go larger on the t-body but, In order for this to work smoothly, you need everything matched.

ST: you are correct. The stock linkage is a must.

Hello Markus!
How will you do the IC pipe routing to the trottle body? Is there any benefit to have the opposite ic pipes routing? It seems that it would be more straight to have the the usual way.
