Thumbs down Running Car with no exhaust???

Well I cant get the LR Turbo Downpipe connected to the LR 4 inch exhaust as everyone knows but what would happen if I just went ahead and put the engine back together and ran the car with no exhaust on it????? is it a bad idea?? I would like to drive the car 2-3 hours to get to someone who is competent enough to help me.

where are you located? And FYI, Depending on your muffler choice, the car will be not much louder with no exaust past the down pipe..... so go ahead! Spoolup will be unbelievable.

.......And except for the excessive heat generated in the area that will likely melt your battery cables, air oil separator, boil your brake and clutch fluids, heat your oil, melt your oil pan gasket, and possible start a fire. Outside of that, nothing major that I can think of.........

Default Call LR

Call LR and get help with your exhaust. Don't drive with out an exhaust for more than a quick jaunt to your mechanic. LR will help you. Those guys wouldn't sell something that wouldn't install with minimal issues.

Just my 2 cents.

George

And that is a good 2 cents. LR knows their exhaust and will glady help you too. Call and ask for Mike, he is an excellent guy who knows that system well! You have a great exhaust system, don't get frustrated, call and get help from the people who built it!

There's also a 275lb, 5'2", unemployed guy on this board who was banging Carmen electra and whooped up on Tim Silva. I'd trust logic and heat transfer theories over web board experience anyday. But what do I know?

You're right, I'm hung like a baby.

Seriously, 6lbs 8oz.

I can't reach the bottom of a tuna can but I can bust out the sides.
