Let's assume for the moment that your spouse or significant other, in their never ending quest to be supportive of your car habit (LOL!) decided to buy you a book about 924/944/951/968's, which one would you wish for?

tuning a 951 for 600 reliable horsepower for under $1000 with its sister book, modyfying the transaxle for 200mph using old audi parts (for dummies)

PS oh, did you mean an existing book not a new one?

Turbocharging by Corky Bell. Not Porsche specific but a must read for anyone who wants to understand how turbo's work.

Got both of those...definitely good.

But I have to say the best book I have seen on the 944 is (Porsche® 944 by Brian Long) It is a euro book but is pretty comprehensive. They are on ebay all day and Zims sells it as well IIRC(might have to call them).

I don't recall the book title, but it came from the PO of my last 951 when he delivered it. It was about the history of the 944 series, and had blurbs about other cars. It was huge, leather bound. I gave it to the guy I sold the car to, wish I had kept it.

I have the Brian Long 944 book mentioned by Testarossa and it is good.

Another 4-cyl specific Porsche book that I really enjoy is "Original 924-944-968" by Peter Morgan. Excellent photography, writing and good data.

My wife is supposed to be getting me an in-car video series from the Formula One turbo era - I hope she doesn't screw up.
