Isn't that system in the UK?

It is very stupid, they should have a light or a sign indicating when it will raise/lower those poles.

From my understanding they are in Central London to stop traffic from getting into restricted areas to cut down on the amount of cars and for security reasons. It's a 'risk/reward' thing for the sneakers though.
