Default light problem

The lights on the passenger side of my 951 don't work. Tail light, both side markers. The turn signal light works but it doesn't light up when lights are turned on. I've replace bulbs and fuses, any ideas??

Some pics for the hell of it.

Have you checked the obvious things like the ground near the passenger headlight bucket? I would start there.

I will bet you it has to do with the aftermarket alarm install that was on the car before! As I said before.

I concur with McNasty. Once I figured out how my aftermarket alarm system that came with the car worked my problem similar to yours was resolved.
I recall reprogramming the alarm's settings according to the alarm's manual. Don't know why that corrected the light problem. The only other light curiousity that occurs now is that if my blinker is left on when I shut down then the turn and marker lights on that side remain on until I return the blinker stalk to its neutral position. That is easy enough to avoid.

There isn't an alarm on the car right now. Could my turn signal switch cause this? It doesn't reset all of the time. Does anyone have a light wiring diagram??

The school building is the old Napa High school that is no longer used as a school but as a district management building. It suffered heavy damage from an earthquake we had a few years back and has since been remodeled with $15 Million provided by the state. And they say California schools are poor...BS.

For kicks search for St. Helena High, napa in google.

When did the light problem start in relation to the alam being removed?

Default that's not a bug...it's a feature

Ed,

That feature is there by design. So that you can leave your park lights on one side of the car turned on whenever you're parked on the street.
