I bought another 951 and decided I wanted to put the new 16x8 flatdishes on my red 951. I snapped a couple pics for everyone's enjoyment. Before you all ask, yes, the 'dishes were painted gunmetal by the previous owner. I don't believe I have to post "before" pictures, as we all know what PDs look like on these cars.

I really dig your car with the phone dials. I'm not sure about the dish wheels. Now some polished turbo s wheels would be tight. I would use the graphite wheels for the track. Just an opinion, I really like your car man.

Thanks, man... I actually love the look of the gunmetal 'dishes. It's nice and stealthy, matching the window tint and rubber trim/spoiler.

I like the look, those wheels go with the rest of the car. It looks like you have the same strange dent just above the rear bumper that I have seen on my car and a few others. Do you have any idea how these happen?

Thanks Mark, my best buddy and I agree with you on that one.
I know how one of the dents occurred, and have a vague recollection of the other (you pick which is which). The rightmost dent came with the car from the previous owner's wife, IIRC. I believe she bumped it in their garage or driveway. The one closer to the middle happened one night as I tried parallel parking in an extremely tight spot that was ended with a love-tap to the edge of a jet-ski trailer's hitch reciever edge.
Reno, thanks! Roads are the one thing Front Royal, Virginia has that is desirable. The road at the top of the mountain in the last picture is the first leg of Skyline Drive. The road the car faces is a local twisty that I often endulge myself upon.

Both uncommon and nice.
I don't understand why most 951 owners seem to overlook "flat dishes".
The front ones with the specific 951 offset actually look better than the very flat ones of the 928S1/2/3/4, IMHO.
Either with the original anodised finish or slightly polished they look awesome on any dark-coloured 951.
