Default LR crossmember and crossover pipe

I am just sharing what I received from Lindsey racing today..

Quality on the welds is outstanding...see attached..

Cost was $480 shipping included for both the crossmember and cross over.

Wow, those look great!

Quick question on the X member since I'm looking to do the same on my car. PET shows the same P.N. for both the NA and Turbo cars, can anyone confirm this? I want to pick up a core X member to send to LR to avoid down time and/or funds being hung up for a while.

TIA

I envy your crossmember and crossover especially after doing an oil pan gasket twice! Good luck!

I think these two mods, along with a WBO2, are a couple of the best $500 spent on our cars. Those two pieces had just come out when I did my refresh 5 years ago and were the last parts I bought.

That looks very nice, but does that mean that you expect to use those features? Or is that to follow the “umbrella theory”?

Oh, the umbrella theory simply states: "Bring your umbrella and it won’t rain".

Laust, by installing those means you will not have any problems in the future... , hope the theory works.

Funny thing is, I installed mine AFTER I did the bottom end -- oh well.

The crossmember does not save ANY time. The amount of time wasted trying to line up the holes and then getting an 1/8th of a turn at a time on some of the fasteners, I could lower an OE crossmember and allow it to hang by the ball joints in half the time. It's a complete waste of money.

Now the crossover is another thing. It is worth having but I don't know what they are selling for. Anyone can do this to their own pipe for the cost of the V band and a trip to a muffler shop.

Make a product then find a market for it..........

^ You obviously don't have one! How much is a four wheel alignment w/ corner balance? I'm wasting my time here...

BTW, why do you think the 928 guys are coming up with they're own version?

I realize thats a damn well built unit, but has anyone had any issues with decreased structural rigidity while racing or whatnot?

Maybe you can Chris, if you have something to hold the engine up with. I have allen bolts in mine, so with a long socket wrench and universal jt, you can go to town.
