Default Is 2.7 block the same as 3.0 litre Block??

Just a couple of questions from somebody too lazy to start pulling out spec sheets!!
Is a 2.7 block the same as a 3.0 litre block
Are 2.7 Rods the same as 3.0 litre Rods
How much difference between inlet port size between a 2.5 and 2.7

I know there are people on here who eat this type of info for breakfast!!!

Cheers in advance guys!!

2.7 block has 104mm bores and interconnected cylinders with shallow water jackets -- so they are the same for the most part. Some 3 liter blocks had piston squirters, which the 2.7 lacks.

Rod lengths/sizes are the same, but materials/castings not all the same (I believe).

Port shapes are different (oval and bigger) on 2.7 head (vs. 951 head) but a 951 intake can be port matched to it.

i put a 2.5l crank in my 2.7- so its the same- rods/bores are same as 3L but 3L would have different pistons since they are 16V.
