Default bosch voltage regulator part number

Hi,

I am in the uk, so its not worth the shipping cost of getting a regulator from the US.

But I have someone who supplies replacement bosch parts here and can get me one for less than £10.

The catch is I need the bosch part number that is written on the voltage regulator.
So if anyone has an alternator out, please can they get the number for me.

ta very much

I believe it is:

1.109.220

Someone double check me on this, since the numbers stamped on my regulator are not very visible

My original is long gone but the spare one another rennlister pulled out of their alt. for me is labeled: 1.197.311.005.

The one I bought off ebay appears to be labeled: 1.197.311.027 but they may have used a generic picture in the ad - its already installed so I cant read it at the moment.

Someone must have a definative answer.
So far i have
1.197.311.021
1.197.311.005
1.197.311.027

Or did bosch use a number of different ones?
Its for an '87 turbo if that makes any difference

You can take the old one into an alternator rebuild shop. When I got mine rebuilt they had a new regulator in stock.

There is also the adjustable version that IceShark used, gotta order it online though.

I want to order one ready to just swap, so the cars not undrivable for long.
And I am in the UK so as long as i have a part number its easier to just get a bosch one.

Personally I would not recommend the adj. regulator to anyone. Ive heard many people had issues with those and mine crapped out in less than 2 years (<3500 miles) hence the Bosch OEM replacement.

WOW,
that bosch catalogue is brilliant, you can even cross reference it and it gives you the porsche part number.
Thanks for the help
