Default Lindsey boost enhancer question

ok so me and my dad have this little thing sitting in our garage. its cranked all the way down and i dont know if that means 20psi or 0psi? i blew through the ends and air goes through both ways...so im geussing 0 psi?

another thing. is this thing supposed to be installed with the stock cycling valve? cause our turbo has a manual boost controller on it with the cycling valve gone. would this just replace it?

thanks. btw if someone is looking for a stock turbo (basically) in the future we've got one coming.

If you already have a MBC, then go ahead and toss that thing in the garbage.

All the way in is the maximum setting, I would say this one has been taken apart and has pieces missing.

Are you going to be selling just a turbo, or a turbo car? Could you PM me with the specs if it is the car?

Regards,
Russell

LBE designed to work with stock CV and NOT with or to replace an MBC. Don't use it if you are not using the CV. Use the MBC.

If you want to play with the LBE...

Unscrew it all the way to take it apart. There should be a long spring and a plastic seat. The seat should go in first with the flat side towards the spring.

Cranked all the way down is 20 psi. Making it shorter compresses the spring requiring more pressure to open the seat.

Four pennies stacked(threads exposed) is what they send them at stock.
10psi. Per Dave LR.

I think he meant to throw the LBE in the trash. You don't need it with the MBC.

Wow! Well my car has one that was installed by the PO. I just measured this past W/E and the amount of exposed threads between the body and the lock nut measures out to 9mm (or 6 exposed threads, if memory serves).

Anybody has an educated idea as to this would equal in PSI? From what I'm seeing maybe about 5psi?

TIA

Lou, about the ony way you'll really know is if you look at a boost gauge. FWIW, when I installed one with the stock (10psi) settings, the car was peaking at 17psi. I think you'll get your best results with trial and adjustment.

Thanks Rick. I figured as much, just didn't know if there was a ballpark way of telling what the boost "should" be by measuring the number of exposed threads.
