i didnt replace the top oring in mine and put ~2k miles so far on it

Is there anything special about the o rings?
as I got a box of o rings, so I wont be ordering them unless there different in some way

You need to use red or green ones, not the black ones. The colors are for different materials, but I don't remember what's what but the black ones do not hold up well when exposed to oil.

They are shaped differently than o-rings as well, I guess you would call them seals not o-rings? The cross section shape is square not round.

To get the top off you need a bunch of small flat blade screwdrivers and a third or fourth hand. Just poke the screwdrivers into the top slots and itll hopefully snap off. When I tried to do that, my top cracked in a few spots and wouldnt snap back on tightly. So I just replaced the whole thing.

The redish donut seals are actual Porsche parts that can be ordered, but the ORing under the lid isnt.
