Intresting, I have been very curious what happened to Puppans racer lately! How about you testdrive it to Vaxholm next time so I have a chance to see it live

Did you get the MID sleeves from Chris White? Did you have them installed in sweden, or did you ship a block to Chris for installation?

Can you describe the difference in low end power and spoolup between puppans 3.0L GTBB and your old 2.5L K27/8 setup?

We discussed it with Chris at first but the conclusion was that shipping costs would kill the budget. So the block was done here in Sweden.

With such low boost as currently on this engine, the spool up is hardly noticed. It feels much more like a big N/A engine than a turbocharged setup.

I ran 1.4 bar with my old 2.5 K27 setup and when boost hit, it was a big sudden rush, so these two engines are impossible to compare.

Even off boost the 3 liter engine is quicker so it never feels like a dog. The throttle respons is also a totally different story compared to a more or less stock 951 engine.

The spec's of Puppans engine were made to support high rpm breathing. No more of that sad kamikaze TQ dive!

Yeah the video is actually a computer animation I did last night...And I suspect the strange gray color in the engine bay on the wooden parts won't fool a Photoshop master like yourself

Something in the gearbox broke last night so Puppan is changing to an S2 box as I write this. No time to put the LSD in though

Hopefully the gearbox change work out well, then I can post some more media tonight of a one-wheeled turbo cup

I could still see the wood grain.
I am always amazed at the level of craftsmanship in Svenske woodwork.

Looks like a fast set up I like the intake, what kind of head gasket did you use?

ahahahah love the wood!!!

Head gasket is a Cometic MLS.

BTW here's a pic of the intercooler (note how it runs behind the modified brace. The IC is bigger than you first think!)

I would be worried about the flow to the number 1 and 4 runner with this intake. Those harsh turns create turbulence and reduce flow.Just a thought.
