where to buy Gaskets
Hey, where is the best place to go to when shopping for gaskets? I need basically all bottom end gaskets. I am doing rod bearings so I will need those and also rod nuts. (Gaskets: intake manifold, exhaust manifold, exhaust O-rings, crush seal, oil cooler w/seals, oil pan, oil pick up tube, I think thats it..) Thanks!

My experience with gaskets is you should ONLY buy them from the Porsche Parts Counter.
Many of the simple, non-OEM, gaskets are not a big deal. BUT there are some complex gaskets, like the oil cooler housing gasket, that you will be very sorry to use an aftermarket supplier. Trust me!
I have found the OE Porsche gaskets to be pennies more, if at all, and the quality is superior. I have come to the conclusion that the ease of installation, and the superior quality of OE gaskets is the only way to go. There is nothing like the pain of replacing gaskets to seal leaks, only to have to do it again.
This also holds true for other specific items, like OE motor mounts. You can search the board to see overwelming confirmation on getting OE motor mounts over aftermarket.
