I am installing new 55# injectors. I have Siemens injectors and I was comparing them to the current injectors. Do the new injectors need hats? It doesnt look like the hats on my current injectors can be placed on the new ones.

Or is this the way they are to be installed?

The plastic caps are not part of the design of these injectors, they do not require them. Usually Bosch / pintle-style injectors use them. The Siemens are DEKA 1 radius-rod design injectors. The 3102's are popular with the 944 crowd.

That is fine, look like Rochester injectors that I once used

No hats, different mechanism, no pintle. The hats serve to purposes, to protect the pintle and aid in the spray pattern.

DAM.....you guys are great.......WHEH.....thats a load off........I was starting to get pissed wondering why the hats werent included...........Thanks for the lightning fast responses...

You might want to put an ohm meter on those to see how many ohms they have. That will tell you for sure whether you should use resistors.
