951 Progress NOW WITH VIDEO
Alright...less productive than I thought I was going to be I at least tackled the cutting of the fenders, installation of the hatch and wing assembly, fitment of the front and rear bumpers and started taking off the flag mirrors. And just to satisfy the curiosity in me I cut the exhaust right before the pipe gets to the muffler, damn she sounds good, not too loud at all! Perfect pitch is around 3700 rpm...just a beautifully hollow sound.
So not going into too much detail, here's the progress on it, I was working by myself so not too many "during" pics.
Towards the end theres the pics of the "picture day" I had right before I hopped on a plane to come back to the AFG. Enjoy guys

I'm going to go ahead with my original idea of getting fenders molded and shot with glass to get light weight single piece fenders with the same look. Took 5 days just to get them to sit right on the car. And much of

Looks great. Love the industrial look of the riveted flairs. Racecar don't need to be perfect bodwork wise - form follows function it that looks pretty damn mean. What size wheels and tires are you going with? Also, whose wing assembly is that?

The wing is the lindsey racing 70" straight wing on 12" uprights.
The warping of the flares is due to the fact that I still have to grab a heat gun and help "relax" them to the new bumper. Eventrually I'll cut the front flares at the bumper line and glass them and the bumper together.

Rear Pics
Rear pics....and before anyone says something - I just went over the rear side markers with paint to get an overall impression on what she'd look like without them. I'm waiting to have the holes welded instead of body filler (yuck!).
