Default high rpm lean out

What can I do richen a high RPM lean out?

At 4500+ the AFR rises to 12.9-13.2 on acceleration but at idel and cruse it is spot on at 14.7-14.8.

Would a 3 bar regulator help the high load lean condition without making my idel and cruse too rich? My car has weltmeister chips and the stock AFM as of now.

Do I have to go to a differnt chip to fix this? I was planning on new chips, injectors and MAF (Vitesse) but do not have the money right now.

Any recomndations?

What did you measure AFR with?

After a recent dyno I realized I had the same problem above 5k RPM. I even have a 3 bar FPR and was still maxing out my injectors. The thread is posted in pelicanparts, but scroll until you see the first dyno chart.

i have this problem too but my conclusion was I was maxing out the injectors as I approched 300rwhp......new injectors and resistors have been purchased and are waiting to go in.

AFR is measured with a tech edge WB. Last dyno I did put down 248 HP and 311 Ft lbs with a sharp high RPM drop off on power.

Few things to check first:
- TPS is functioning properly?
- vacuum hose between intake & FPR
- FPR
- Replace fuel filter
- Finally - it might be a fuel pump on its way out - or failing injector(s)

TPS is a few months old
vacuum hoses are in proper condition
FPR is a few months old 2.5 bar
Fuel filter is a possibility
Fuel pump is a possibility
Injectors are a possibility

I will replace the fuel filter first, cheap and should be done anyway.
John, you know my plans, is a Bosh HV enough or do I need a 044?

TPS might be new, but it might need adjustment, don't overlook it. 044 is the way to go!

I'm pretty sure it is adjusted right but I will double check.

What is the price for the 044?

Also do you have a set of stock injectors that are in known working condition? I would like to buy a set just to hold me over untill I take the plunge and buy the MAF, chips, turbo and hopefull the knock box.

I got my factory fit Tial hoses in and had them for sale at the fest they are 4 and 5 ply silicone with T bolt clamps. Do you want a picture?

Do you recomend Delphi or Siemens injectors? My friens father works at Delphi and offered to get me a few "engineering samples." He was telling me about some race motor injectors that he helped engineer, SUPER high flow and resistant to alcohol.
