By my count, if we add DMS and KYB (forgot about them), we're up to 13 aftermarket suppliers.
15 suppliers if you add Sachs Boge and Porsche.

After reading various reviews on Subie and Evo forums it sounds like the 40mm actually can provide comfortable street usage. What spring rates are you running, if you don't mind my asking?
As long as you remember to account for the time zones, I'd call DMS in Australia if I were you, and talk to the folks there. When I was considering the 50mm a few years ago, I talked to them and they were very helpful. The North American DMS people are primarily gravel rally folks, and I'd be surprised if they've sold any 944 setups.
Has anyone here ever had their Koni yellows converted to double adjustable? I've considered this, as well as having them revalved for my spring rates. Though, I'm afraid of going through the trouble and then finding out that they still ride like crap. Apparently it's fairly inexpensive to have both things done to your Koni yellows.
(As an aside, the "mush" comment in my previous post was with stock M030 spring rates, so there was lots of wheel travel going on.)
Also, if your current Koni's "ride like crap," I'd check them. I blow the gas bags in the rear ones every three or four years, it seems.

Not sure how much you guys pay for KW's in the U.S. but they have a few systems available. The Variant 3 setup would be great for a street car and I was going to get these but I opted for their 2-way adjustable race system which they custom make for you. I would think they would be pretty affordable for you guys as you seem to pay a fraction of the co$t that we do down under. Just because you don't see them on R'list doesn't mean they aren't worth checking out.

So which is the most bang ofr the buck?
And for most of us I guess only light track use. Mostly just hard street driving.
