Mark-87-951

I know that is the correct way to adjust idle but I cant get the led to come on when I try it by jamming a wire into the appropriate sockets. Also, Clarkes garage shows the led on the side and would swear it's actually in the center. What can I use that would be better than just stuffing the end of a wire in there?
