I'd sooner rely on comparison tests by Car and Driver, Road and Track, Automobile, etc. as they have no particular product to sell as all advertise with them. Hey but that's me, you can believe or buy anyone or anything you want.

Read this thread today and had the V1 site up at work, and thought "one of these days, I need to get one of those". Of course, I needed it tonight. F'in speed trap between my offices. They've never set up there before. There were a bunch of them hanging out under an elevated highway and they had a guy in the street waving people in to give them tickets.

So, to close the barn door after the horse has escaped I just ordered a V1. They got me this time. I'll be better prepared for them next time.

Bummer. Isn't that the way it usually happens. Sorry. Adjourn to a DA night and ask for a reduction. Hey you never know you might get it. Good luck.

I'm a little late the "party"...

I've got an X-50 (blue LED), love it. Works great.

People talk about the bogie counter on the V1. The X-50 has the basically the same thing. You can see the different radar signals, and the respective signal strength of each. While the X-50 has no arrows, you still have a clear understanding of what's going on around you.

The only thing aobut the X-50 that "sucks" is the windshield mount. The suction cups work, but the entire assy can bounce around. It needs to be a minimum of a 3 point mount assy to get the thing solidly mounted.

I have a lawyer and he's great, charges me $60 per ticket, beaten 4 out of 5 cases for me, but with my driving record, there is not much more he can do...

I have a V1 as well and like it more than my older (non-x50) Escort 8500. That said, it does false more, but it also picks up some signals from seemingly further distances.

For those asking about jammers....active jammers are illegal in most all, if not all, states. Passive jammers are legal, but they are so miserably crappy, they arent worth buying.

The only jammer worth buying is a laser jammer made by www.lidatek.com It is absolutely phenomenal.

A lawyer is only as good as your driving record, if you get one too many tickets, he won't be able to help you out much after a while...

which is why i have a perfect driving record.

if a ticket gets dismissed in court, it never shows up on your driving record. as far as the court is concerned, it's like it never happened.

it's in your best interest to keep your record as spotless as possible and get every ticket dismissed.

Is it just me...

or does LFA really come off as a bad driver?

I'll speak up now, what about the Phaser II's? Yes, I know allll about the V1's and how magnificent they are, but just adding some insult to injury. So how does the Phaser II stack up?

phaser 2 is a jammer not a detector. Phaser has a sweet warranty: if you get a speeding ticket while using their jammer they'll pay it!
