This is an open invitation to any Colorado Rennlisters to join some of us for a little informal get together this coming Sunday, July 23 at 1:00pm.

Gregeast, Docwyte, Jfrahm, Porschephile 924 and Patrat are meeting at the Lonmont Sonic Drive-in for a little burger munchin' and tire kickin' and we'd love to have more company. I've organized a couple of these with the BMW Club and it's a lot of fun having everyone outside with the cars.

The Sonic is on the north end of Longmont on Main St/Hwy 287.

it may be possible for me to head up there but i have alot of work to do on the house in which we close on tomorrow so it all depends on that. I have you cell greg so if things change before i post i will just give you a ring and let you guys know not to leave me behind LOL

Just a thought, I'm pretty sure there are Sonics further south than Longmont... (wink, wink) Denver?

Is there something special about Longmont? That is a hullava drive for Daniel! But if Longmont is the place, I don't mind that either...

 

I picked Longmont because it was sort of half way for the N. CO folks. We probably need to stick with that for this time but I'm certainly open if we do it again.

Actually, I'm thinking Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs in the fall, that way maybe we can hook up with the guys up in the mountains too.

For the folks coming up from the south I'd recommend taking I-25 to the Hwy 66 exit (this is NOT the main Longmont exit, it's the next one north) and then head west. Turn south on Hwy 287/Main St. and the Sonic will be on your right, about 1/4 mile from Hwy 66

 

Enjoyed seeing everyone at Sonic this afternoon. We had eight cars in total, five 951's, one 944 S2 Cab, a 944 and a 924S and I have to say that the north side of that Sonic never looked so good!

Love the Sonic pics! What was the most common color for 944s, do you suppose? Mine's red too...

 

Thanks, the drive-in is really kind of fun because everyone is outside with the cars instead of inside some pizza joint just talking about the cars.
