Wow, that is a killer deal.

And with cat out, MAF and tuned right, spool up shouldn't be a problem. I would guess full bar of boost BEFORE 4K. Like 3,600-3,800 range.

Bump. Price change. BRAND NEW Vitesse Stage 4 just $1000 shipped! Come on guys, my 911 needs some lovin' and this turbo isn't doing me any good! I'm open to trades, so make me an offer. Some of the things I'm looking for are ~55# injectors, Tial 46mm wastegate, etc.

I would like to see some real data on boost VS RPM before I would buy ANYTHING that big for a stock 2.5 car. I think that most of the guys on here with bigger displacement have upgraded their turbos at the same time. While the price is really good, not many of us need this size of turbo unless we are tring to just get max. HP and not worried about drivablitiy. Considering it has NEVER been installed in a car, you should contact John (Vitesse) and see if he will buy it from you. I am sure if it is one of the newer ones he will at least buy it from you after inspection of it of course. Just throwing that out there for you.

Mike, I clearly stated what power levels this is good for on the first page. More hp equals less response. Sorry but, I'm not about to throw the turbo on just to prove what it can do before selling it!

Here's the specs:

Compressor - 61.4mm inducer / 82mm exducer
Turbine - 57mm inducer / can't remember the exducer, some sort of 11 blade T31 wheel I believe
Turbonetics replica KKK #8 housing

This turbo is basically a Precision Turbo Sc61, though it has a smaller turbine then their regular off the shelf Sc61's, and a turbonetics replica KKK #8 housing. This is an actual Gt35r compressor wheel. Let me put it this way, this turbo will be more responsive than a Lindsey Super75 on a 2.5l. It's basically about the equivalent of a Lindsey Super 65 from what I can tell, and it should be similar in response to one. I doubt if it can break 600rwhp due to the small turbine and exhaust side, and I'd say roughly 550rwhp is probably about the max.

Are there any major things to address when putting the turbo on the car? I can't remember if the ST4 needs more mods then just the Stage II or III. Good luck on selling it, but before I would buy a turbo like that, I would have to see a chart showing it on a 2.5L engine with just bot-ons and how boost comes up.

Porschefile
I had contacted you about the turbo a while back. I talked with John about it and he was not sure if it was a stage 4 from him. I am sure he has sold a lot of stuff and just did not recall. If you can convince John that indeed what you have is a Vitesse stage4 turbo by emailing him a picture or what ever he needs to verify I am still interested. I need a big turbo for my 2.8L. Once he confirms what you have, have him email me and let me know so I can proceed.
Thanks Craig

Yep, it's still available however I have one person currently considering it so they have first priority. There has been some confusion so let me reiterate this. I did NOT buy this turbo directly from John at VR. I bought this from Boostguy951's (Joe Mckerall) classified a month or 2 ago. The turbo is still new in the box. Boostguy951 will vouch for me, and I'm sure John will remember selling him the turbo as he couldn't sell too many of these.

Bump, still for sale. Looking for $1000 shipped OBO, also I'm open to trades. I'm looking for a Tial 46mm, 55# injectors, or various other upgrade related items. Someone buy my turbo already! Please excuse the quality of these pics:

Is that the turbine wheel is a clipped Stg 3? A Stg 5 wheel will have 10 blades, so I'm guessing it's a Stg 3 wheel I'm seeing. Precision doesn't even list mating the GT40(GT35R) compressor wheel to anything smaller than a Stg 5 wheel.

That is the conclusion I came to. It is a clipped T31 turbine in a /8 Turbonetics replica housing. Personally, I think the turbine side is a little too small for that size of a compressor wheel. From what I've seen, it appears like a hybrid of a Precision Sc61, except with the smaller T31 Stg3 turbine. While this will prevent it from making as much power as a full sized Gt35r, it's definitely still capable of making over 500rwhp, though I think it will probably max out around the 500-550rwhp area. Despite what some might have you believe, this turbo is 100% untouched since I purchased it from Boostguy951. All I did was remove the compressor housing to thouroughly look everything over, but it has never been used. Even though it may not be the greatest match of wheels, it's still a nice turbo in that it has a real Gt35r (Gt4082r technically) 61mm compressor wheel, plus it's a direct bolt-on.
