Default Well looks like I am turning wrenchs

Well,
After leaving my car at the Dealership for 4 D*9n days. They told me what I already know. The AC compressor is bad. Wow superise! However, what they wanted for a new one (My German is rusty) 1000+ Euros is not happeining. I told them I would be up there to pick up the car at 1430 Germany time, and for that kind of money there better be a KKK 26/8 installed too!
So I need a new AC compressor. Not an issue. I might go the new Vertx Rout or a used one. I can install a compressor, recharge it with R134A and oil. I was just being lazy.

Now I am also going to replace the wastegate and hook up the EBC when it all comes in.
I want to replace all the vacume lines to what is the best stuff to use?

I am thinking of hard pipes. I looked at Lindsey racing. What do you think are the best? This is considering that later on I may step into a Viteese Stage, I, II ,orIII

Thanks

I have had both the LR and SFR hard pipes. I personally like the SFR ones better.

Which do you think work the best with the viteese system?

And what is the best stuff to use to replace the vac lines?

Oh I am going to go pick a up my car and 20 pack of .5lt Franziskaner Helles-Hefe Weissbier and ponder the post!

And If you have stuff for sale reguarding this post let me know I am in the market to buy with paypal. shipping to me in Germany is like shipping anywhere in the United States. I have a APO-AE addesss.

I have an AC compressor that I believe to be in good condition. The AC didn't work on my car, but I believe it just needed a recharge. I've gone the AC delete route in the name of simplicity. Let me know if you are interested.

I might be intrested PM with a price. I really wish you knew if it worked. Did you keep oil in it after you took it off?

I never drained any oil out of it. I also didn't have to worry about the refrigerant, since that had all leaked away long ago. Since I'm not 100% of it's functionality, I'll sell it cheap, and give you your money back if it doesn't work. Kind of like the honor system, since I'll have to take your word for it. $100 +shipping sound reasonable?

Unless you are flowing huge amounts of air (very large turbo) the pipes are not the restriction. The intercooler inlet is more of a restriction. You should see about the same gains with either the Lindsey or SFR pipes (which is little to none). However, they make a nice comsetic upgrade and make the engine bay look better.

Well I have decided to go with Lindsey racing hard pipes and BOV

However, Do I go with the w/o SWEDGE or w/SWEDGE?
Does it matter what kind of BOV from Lindsey and should I go ahead and upgrade to a 3 BAR FPR from them?

It really depends on what your plans are for your car. If you can outline what you would like to achieve then it will be easier for us to comment on which upgrades are really worth your time.

Griffith has a good selection of 'new' AC compressors. rebuilts are kind of iffy. I hear the Sanden compressor is great for our cars as a replacement.
