Bought a 951!!!yeah (pics added)
Well after owning a 1984 944 N/a and lurking on this board, I was able to buy a beautiful mint condition 1986 951, picked it up today drove 7 hrs to pick it up and it was well wotth it. I cant believe how much of a different animal this is. The engine was rebuilt with a lightened crankshaft, flywheel and piston rods, a larger turbo and an Authority chip. This car pulls!!!!! I will post pics tomorrow, black on black with 145 000km ( 90 000miles)

Awesome looking car! I always thought 951's look mean and aggressive in black.
The Autothority chip was a really great performance mod back when it first came out in the 90's?, and does add a decent amount of horsepower. Now it has become outdated and has a habit of running rather rich at higher rpms. The Vitesse chip adds more rwhp, runs and idles cleaner and better, and is just overall a better chip. Just my opinion....
I first had the Autothority and the Vitesse chip at 15psi certainly is faster!

Denis 944,
There is nothing wrong with your autothority chips. I have them and are very pleased, they don't run rich in the higher rpm's, it's midrange that they run slightly rich. Have the dyno sheet if you would like to see.
Nice car! Welcome aboard, sorry, did you already mention what turbo the car has?
