Also a good book for various aspects of race car mechanics/engineering that includes installation of fittings on hoses is "Engineer to Win" by Carrol Smith; it's almost a bible for anyone who prepares race cars.

I strongly suggest you do. I have the -6 and the -10, and they have made fitting the lines so much easier.
