Default RS Style Alcantara Interior Progress

Obviously not done, but coming along. Need to get the center console and the a-pillars covered. Waiting for a second set of door panels so I can start cutting them up and figuring out exactly what I want to do with them. And I need to redo all the carpet but that's waiting until the rollbar is out for the new hotness

Rob M Budd did the dash recover and it looks GREAT! I cant wait to work with him again.

Mike - Nice looking door panels! Seriously though, the alacantra looks terrific.

How long did it take you to pull the old dash and to put the new one back in?

That looks really great. I've been thinking of something similar myself. www.968s.com has chronicles of a guy named Eric Sandoval who redid his interior in leather, and his doors looked pretty good eventhough he used regular tanned leather. The Alcantara should really give a nice overall enhancement to your interior. Hope it all goes well.

Thumbs up cool

Very nice!
Got any pics that show (what looks like) the red stitching better?

Has anyone on the board done a set of RS door panels? I have been trying to figure out how to do this and make it look good. I have been thinking of even relocating the window switches to the empty slots in my center console, as well as the mirror switch, so as to get rid of switches off the doors completely. A flat panel with a nylon pull would be really nice.

That looks very nice, how much did everything cost material wise? It would be freaking awesome to see someone make some RS doorpanels!

$480 for the complete dash, I'm working on RS panels as we speak.

I moved them in a previous 944. It was a much more comfortable location.

Looks great.

Sorta like suede! (PS-> Suede is "in").

Keep up the good work.

Someone JUST posted pictures of their car about two weeks ago and had RS style door panels inside, a project I have also been thinking about. The car was silver/champagne with red/burgandy porsche signature cloth door panels and racing seats, that had been specially recovered.

Excellent dash! Now I know what to do if my dash ever cracks. For those who wondered how RS-style door panels look like, here's mine :

The one's mentioned few posts above. They are all fiberglass,I made molds for upper, curved parts from a scrapyard car's panels and straight ones against a piece of window glass.
