Default KLA Strut Brace Installation Question

I am in the process of installing my KLA strut brace on my 951. Does anyone have a picture of a properly installed KLA Strut Brace? I am not absolutely certain whether the design of the brace necessitates the plate in the front or the back. Also not sure what side the strut bar mount onto the plate?

Please Help?

go to www.klaindustries.net
click on "products"
click on "944 strut brace"
scroll down to "installation instructions"

I'd link it if I knew how.

Do a trial fit before pulling all the strut tower nuts off. Because of my solid engine mounts, the KLA strut brace hit the fuel rail, so I was unable to use the brace.

Mine went on without any problems. Gave it a polish.

I was planning to paint mine white to match the chassis, but unadorned it matches the other pieces (and my expansion tank).

Left mine extruded but did the plates in powder.

While were at it, what is the consensus on preload? I've heard none, I've heard a little is good, I've heard that it should be loaded significantly by pulling the towers in....
I currently have a touch of preload pulling in on the towers. Just enough to make the bar taught.

I don't think there is a consensus, mine has well a 'bit', but I have lower brace as well, but there is bushes in the suspension so it will never be like solid.
I can't feel any twisting like I had before so the car is definiteley more rigid.

Mine is preloaded a bit as well. Made the car feel much tighter.

How do you preload it and then attach it?

Just means that you tighten it after you put it on, so there is a load on the struts.
