Default Steering Fluid?

New to the Porsche scene. Just sold my 1971 Corvette. What type of steering fluid should I use? Brand and type. I would like to purchase it from Pep Boys or Autozone. Any Suggestions?

Porsche 944/968 Power Steering Fluid is essentially "DEXTRON" Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)

I just buy a bottle of "Dextron III ATF" from whatever gas station I happen to be at when I notice it's low.

Pull it out immediately, clean all the parts, and then put in the Dexron. I believe actual PS fluid eats away at the steering system pretty quickly.

Dexron III replaces Dexron II. You can use either but you might need a time machine to find Dexron II.

I use Redline synthetic power steering fluid. The bottle claims that it is approved by Porsche.

Does anyone who really knows about this think I should change it out?
