removing US spec rear bumber for Euro Bumper
I've aquired 2 euro bumpers and want to install one on my car. Both US/Euro are bolted in the rear but I've noticed the US spec is also attached to the sides of the body by 2 nuts/screws which are not found on the Euro bumper which is made of more ridgid fiberglass and doesn't need to be bolted snug on the sides. I've been unble to reach in to get them loose. Does anyone who has removed their US spec bumper know what size the nuts are and have advice on getting them off? I'm dying to get the new bumper on.
Also, I intend to sell the other Euro bumper (its red and in VERY good condition). It comes with the brackets, as well. If anyone is interested, PM me and we can talk. I'd prefer to sell to someone here than on Ebay and would consider meeting someone to deliver or work out shipping. I live in Western Pennsylvania.
Thanks

It just so happens I have a red 968 that always needs to lose some weight.

A 968 has a totally different rear end then a 944.

10mm and you need to be a contortionist and have an extention for your socket wrench to get at them properly.
Use the smallest socket wrech you can find.

Thanks, Jason_86_951. Its so difficult getting my hands in there AND looking to see where the socket is. Taking the under-spoiler might help a little but THAT just adds to the project. I'll try again later tonight with better light. As long as its been done before, I'll go back to trying.
Jason Judd, the bumper won't work as mentioned above. Different bodywork.

The underbody spoiler is attached as well to the sides and I haven't located where yet. I know I need a longer allan key wrench to remove some fasteners that I can see. It seems more difficult than it needs to be.
I'm not sure what I'd want for the second bumper. Probably, around $400, depending on what shipping costs were. I'd prefer to meet someone and or deliver it to cut out shipping. I'm located in Western Pennsylvania.

Potent951turbo86: Not sure, I thought they were the same. I don't have it in front of me but I recall that it is a little obout 1.25-1.5" thick and runs the whole width of the bumper. I can send photos and/or take meansurements tonight if you PM your email address.

My wrists are bruised from squeezing them in to get the 8mm nuts off of the quarterpanels, but, it was a small price to pay. I ended up taking off the drivers side under spoiler and loosening up the larger section to get my arm in place. The bumper is on and looks great. If I can get small resolution pics, I'll post them. Thanks for help and advice.
