Prob 250-400 depending on condition. I got a complete unit with int. shaft + tie rods for $125. Not everyone knows what they are worth!

Yup, paid $790 for mine with shaft and tie rods. Bought new because, um, ah, hum, I don't know. Guess I just like opening packages with new stuff in 'em. Anyone want a power steering system from a '88 951? Accepting all reasonable offers for the rack, shaft, tie rods, pump, cooler, lines, etc. Would prefer to sell it all together.

Oops, sorry if this is a hijack.

(PM me)

Yeah, used they go for around $50. (I'm working for ya here OriginalSterm )

Keep in mind -- late offset manual tie rods are not as common, hence worth more.

Default I've got one

I don't think I'll be using. I wasn't sure if I wanted to sell it, but pm me an offer. It's got the shaft and early ties.

Cheers

i may be in the market for one too...maybe a group buy is in order if anyone else is looking.

on the subject of power steering though...has anyone had any failure issues with the adjusting strut on the underside of the power steering? one of the ends broke off at a de back in april and then a few weeks ago at mid-ohio i broke the same part only it broke right in the middle. this is what got me thinking about pulling the power and going manual.

Default What's the difference on road and track?

Can those that have experienced both give an opinion on both? Is the manual much heavier at road speeds, parking etc? What are the advantages and disadvs?
Is the lock/ratio on the manual much tighter and is that good at low speeds but more o/steer at high?
Thanks
