What is a Manual Rack worth?

I was under the car yesterday cursing the amount of plumbing and extra crap which is required for PS and AC...
If my car was a track *****... but I don't feel like yanking on the wheel during city driving or sweating uncontrollably in the summer :x
Does a non-PS 951 steer like any other non-PS car from the same era? (I remember some old small trucks in which you had to spin the wheel like 10 times... but otherwise have had no experience with non-PS vehicles.)

The first day on the track with the manual steering, my wrists got tired quickly. I moved my seat two inches closer, and did two more days with no problems at all. I'm ordering a one inch spacer for the steering wheel to move the wheel even closer to me, as I think the leverage helps.
Steering feedback is much better with the manual. I can feel the tires slipping quicker than I could with the power. Lock to lock requires more turns of the steering wheel with the manual, not a big deal, but I do have to shuffle steer a little in tight turns where I didn't have to move my hands with the power steering.

Oh, and not having to ever deal with leaks again....priceless!

i have a good PS rack for sale in a few days if anyone is interested. rebuilt professionally and bone dry thus far.

I would've picked up on that.
