Danno glued his pan gasket with 3M yellow weather-strip adhesive, it held but then the oil stick blew out and dented his hood...got a laugh out of that one. The real problem has the engine was tired and needed a rebuild to stop the blow by. Fix the problem, not the symptom.

The retainers do stop the gasket from bulging. MySwiss Web site
