I found a hand full of them last year just by asking around here. I'm sure someone has a couple 2-3 they'd let go. Do that a couple of times, get the same tolerance group, and you'll be set.

Thats the other issue original - the tolerance. Because of cylinder wear, I think its probably going to all have to be tol2.

You can have the cylinders recoated and use tolerance group 1 or 0 should you find them. I went with Nikasil and 964 rings...

Was it these guys who did the job for you? http://www.928motorsports.com/services/uschrome.html

How much was it, and how long have you been running with those bores recoated.

Hosrom_951 used to get these all the time for cheap. New ones too. Dunno if he still can though. I bought a used set of group 1 pistons on ebay for about $200 a year or so ago - they pop up there periodically.

Keep us posted, thanks for the info. Also if my bores go really bad might go with .http://www.customdesignperformance.c...n_porsche.html

Pistons are alot cheaper about 650$ a set, plus if a sleeve goes pull it out replace with new one. Scoring will be less of a problem.

the local shop also machined a new sleeve and installed it as one bore was so bad it was too deep even for nikasil to patch it up. the engine is being assembled as we speak...
