I like the reflector! I think it helps make the lines homogeneous around the back of the car. Mine says Turbo. I guess I'm the only one.

I go back and forth....I sometimes like the reflector....sometimes I dont.....

My conclusion is that either way, the rear end of the 944/951 is just not that attractive stock and the reflector does not really help or harm the situation....I much prefer the 968 rear end.....

I liked mine (also says "turbo"), but I put a euro bumper on the back and don't want to drill it for the license plate. I'm also debating what to do, leaning toward repair.

No, you aren't. While I wouldn't purchase one to install, if my car already had one, I may be inclined to leave it.

I had a lighted one on my 924 that read "porsche" and was smooth.

Originally it appears that the goal was to copy the rear of the 911 body style. But I think it made my 951 look ten years older. I personally think the tail end is one of the best features of the car. It looks wider and lower in my opinion with the original look.

Okay, I received my Euro license plate from Germany and installed it over those horrible holes left from the center reflector. I like it!!!!

If you are still taking opinions, the reflector looked better than the bare metal and higher mounted license plate. Also, if nobody mentioned it, it’s not an after market piece. Its a real Porsche part/option. Hasn't changed since the old 924’s. They got little lights that you can barely see going down the road. That maybe what the holes were for.

Perhaps, but mine was a cheap aftermarket reflector. It looked like crap!

Now it is time to red-out your tail lights to update that rear
Or course I went all red-out, but that makes backing up a little more tricky...

I hated the center light on mine and pulled it off. The PO had boogered up the holes badly. I went with the hardware store black plugs and it will do for now on a black car. If you want to center the plate just do the mod to the stock bracket...works great.

Another thought would be to try and color match the plugs as a stop gap. I hope you left the plugs in to prevent any moisture from getting in side underneith the plate.

However, I really do like the europlate look....

The europlate between the stop lights and the license plate in the bumper that would look good, I am going to do it myself.
