I'm still pissed that I subscribed to follow the project and haven't seen an installment since.

my issues with that magazine are as follows-

1- i'm pissed that i subscribe to not be able to find anything out about the 951
2- i know they're pissed it's faster than their 50-bazillion-dollar M3
3- they tested the headers at like, 5 or 7 psi, and i was like "WELL DUH YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A 2 HP INCREASE!! "
4- i dont know how to read

Don't hold your breath, in the past EC has just completely stopped updating at least 4 project cars which I can recall.
80-MB 450SL
70-something 911 with a lame flatnose conversion
early 80s "beater" Jetta
and a 77 924

Never an explanation--they juts stopped--although the 924 did almost see completion.

I never buy EC anymore

Fortunately a guy at work gave me all the EC 951 project issues for free. I think I would have been a little pissed if I had paid for a subscription just to follow this project.

Its one thing I have to give Grassroots Motorsports credit for. http://www.grmotorsports.com/ Projects seem to have a clear beginning and end and you can buy whole sets later on backorder if you want to. Too bad its not a monthly magazine.

I enjoy Grassroots but since they cover such a range of cars and topics, I usually only buy the issues that interest me.

Also, all the project articles can be viewed/printed at www.europeancarweb.com under Project Cars.

I wrote a PM to Pablo over on Bimmerforums about this here's his response...

what's up, Daniel. no actually the car's been in the shop since Nov in CA, and I live in KC. however, the finally got to it this week, and it's under the knife as we speak. there's another slightly worked head and cam going in, and I've got the block refreshed with some new rings. may even do a new intercooler at some point. but if we can break 355-360whp at 17 PSI on pump, given our same ignition map then I'll be very happy.

European Car is a shadow of what it used to be. Both EC and Sports Compact Car are more pamphlets than magazines. Its a shame to see both mags dwindle into irrelevance.

Sport compact car is better, but I agree. It seems everyone I liked has left SCC. Where did they go?
