figured i'd introduce myself
ive spent some time as "that guy" that just reads about other's projects on these boards. over this past thanksgiving weekend i managed to find (thru a buddy on here) a very clean and well taken care of 87 951 from the original owner. ive always loved 944's and always dreamed to find that unmolested example. the car is stone grey with burgundy. its a sunroof delete and only has 60k miles on it. i brought the car to hershey for its debut, but found only a few other cars there at noon on saturday due to the weather
my aily driver is a 93 vw corrado that i also happend to pick up from the original owner about 3 yrs ago. the car is dark burgundy metallic (basially a metallic flake'd purple color) a factory vw color for the corrado's in the early 90's. it has some minor mods to the suspension and engine, nothing too crazy cause it has to be my practical car.
anyway...that's about all from me for now but i look forward to meeting you guys/gals!

Nice car! The sunroof delete will make many of the track guys jealous. I love that color with the phone dials.
Welcome to the world of 951 ownership!

Welcome. Now join the Mid Ohio region and bring it to the track!!! I've instructed for that region since '89 and it's still great fun.

thanks all for the good words. the vw is an slc vr6 to who asked above. i started looking at g60's and got scared really quickly. i love the vr! ive joined the mid ohio region of pca and do intend on doing some drivers eds at the very least in the car so i get a better idea of whats going on. i hate to say it but everything ive owned personally up to this point in my life has been fwd. there realy isnt anything like rwd cars, especially german ones!
and ill most definately see you guys at 944 fest, i heard rumors of it not happening is that true or just a location change? i may have completely pulled that out of the sky or confusing it with a vw event.

Welcome to the boards Vic. We met at the dyno day I held about a month ago right? Let me know if you need help with anything or need any parts. We've got a bunch of them right now.
