RKD is running a much larger turbine. It shows in the spoolup verses your turbo. Your car is breaking traction because of the sudden rush of torque ( small turbine). Look at the tourque peak on both charts. Your turbo will not produce numbers like RKD's.
Look at Lindsey's site for the dyno of the Super61 making 401 hp. This turbo can make power.

While at it, include the time you spend fine tuning when the outside temps change... Now, let's talk about the price!

When you are done tuning, please post a chart with "the boost curve"!!!
1. Mafterburner can use existing chips if not Vitesse or Guru.
2. No paid dyno time yet. That chart was free
3. To tune I do a datalog and send my log to Lindsey for help with tunning
4. Yep, still at $1900

Still happy with not spending $3700 for a turbo package.

Kevin,
Just out of curiosity, do you have a Dyno chart for after it was tuned etc?

Hell for the money spent i'll take 300rwhp. The last time I asked, people said it would cost $2500 to get to 300rwhp.

Wes, I will soon. My car was down for a bit doing the interior as you saw. I wish I could have taken you for a ride while you were down. You would have been a believer.

Mike, my weekends are filling up. This weekend we are headed to Michigan to pick up a parts car and next is Hershey. Any time after that would be good. I'm going to try to get to the dyno the last weekend of this month.

Lart,
The fact is, he didn't buy all the parts directly from LR. So all the prices you listed may not be valid.

Lindsey turbo/maf kit is $2099. I got if for a little less then that

The chips are ape stage two that a lister sold me for 40 bucks.

The intake does nothing with out a cam and head work, but move the power band to the right. This fact alone makes the spoolup even more impressive.

The header is a factory replacement proven to not increase performance. GHL will tell you this. I bought because mine were cracked and it was cheaper then buyer the factory parts.

Not sure a bigger fuel pump would add performance. It just doesn't run out incase I decide to run more boost.

As for the exhaust, who doesn't have one. John didn't mention any of the other upgrades or prove any of the boost claims with any of his charts. Are you telling me that those car are all bone stock with none of the other stuff?

Austin, I do understand that. But the fact is that the cost of all those components together is over $ 5k. It's quite unfair to claim all that power from the lindsey 61 by itself, he needs to take into account all the other upgrades at their retail cost in order to make a fair comparison. I got my super polished 61 for free with a whole SFR exhaust including the headers stgII and a linsey racing pump, it cost me zero, nada.

Wes: I don't think we need to start looking at what the E-bay prices might possibly be for parts when making comparisons. We are talking about the kit that John sells on his site. The only realistic way to compare is based on new retail prices. Hell, somebody may have inherited a Vitesse kit sometime, or gotten one for Xmas, then we would have to start comparing it as a free upgrade right.

I want all to know that I'm not arguing the fact that the Vitesse stuff isn't good. If you can afford the kit, you will get something that you can bolt on and be pretty close with the tuning. I myself, like to play with the tuning and can't afford that kit. So there I am just trying to prove the point that it can be done for cheaper. I thing the majority on this board are in the same boat as I.

I'm still waiting to see dyno charts with boost graphs. Until then I don't believe any of the numbers thrown out here.

Lart: I'll give you twice what you paid for it for the whole system!
