Default Exhaust seal ring

How do you remove this metal o-ring type seals from the groove they sit in? I blasted it with WD40 and PB blaster and scrubed it with a wire brush to clean it out around the edges, but I still can't get it out. Should I cut it up with a dremel? Or is there a little trick to getting it out?

i tried prying and they were stuck in there pretty good. I took a small screwdriver and tapped it with a hammer into the ring since im not using it again.

If you heat them with a torch red hot, they just pop out.

I drilled a hole in the o-ring and used a pick. The hammer and screwdriver and the torch ideas sound pretty good.

made a groove with a dremel and cutoff wheel, then hammered an old flat tip screwdriver in the edge where it was weakened and pryed them out. piece of cake.
