One lucky RL'r, just back from paint
A bit OT, but look at one lucky persons new ride on here, just got back from the paint shop. 1967 Shelby GT 500, 428 dual quads, with a few minor things left to finish. The car was purchased in 1989 and he drove it for the first time 2 days ago. Sweeet.

I really don't want to get rid of my fastback now ski. You suck! Nice pics. We used to be very involved in SAAC but haven't really been into it for a few years after discovering more PCA activities. Someday I'll have a 67 shelby. For now I'll just hug my 68 Fastback and convince myself to keep it.

Yeah I know, me too. It is number matching and I believe it's 4 spd as well. It was a long resto project.
All I can say is like that commercial on TV, where the guy is selling the lime green hatchback.....
It's a thing of beauty.

Oooh, I drove one exactly like that several years ago in Baton Rouge. Talk about fun! Loads of torque. It belonged to a brother of a co-worker and he had two. I never saw the other one as it was "hidden from his wife."

Old 'Stangs are a thing of beauty. I bought mine in the mid 80's before muscle cars went stratospheric and did a full concours restoration for something to keep me busy. It is a really different driving experience as opposed to other cars. It shakes, the clutch is stiff, shift throw is long, it makes lots of noise, and will pass everything but a gas station. Brings a smile to my face everytime I take it out.
