The '70 body is my favorite (headlights within the grill area). The new Mustang is like the '69 (headlights outside the grill), so even though it's a hit, it's not out of the park.

My overall favorite is the the '70 Boss 302. My brother sold his in 1973 when I was 15. He thought I should buy it (driving age was 17) but where was I going to get $2500? But that's OK cuz I probably would have wrecked it in no time.

Hi everyone, first-time poster here...

You like-a da '67 Shelby, huh?

I'm very fortunate at work (I'm a sound engineer & electronics tech by trade) to have some colleagues with extremely fine cars. -One has a '67 Shelby cobra which I recently made a 5.1 surround recording of (using a SoundField mic www.soundfield.com) and other tasty things in the parking lot include an Aston martin Vanquish V12, and a Shelby Mustang 500KR (numbers matching... paint is a little sub-par, though it's still a mighty, mighty car!)

For my next car-recording session, I'm planning on the Vanquish, a 996, a VW beetle, the KR500, a 72 Charger and a Carrera GT (some close friends have done quite well for themselves, and we ALL love sound and recording, as well as cars!) as well as my recently-acquired 951.

A couple of pics of me recording the '67 Shelby doughnutting around the soundfield mic in a closed-off parking area:

...Makes me think about how much I LOVE my job!!!

Nice replica, who's kit is it?

When I was 18 I had a '71 Mustang Boss 351...I kick myself everytime I think about it for selling it when I was young and stupid!

I love GT-500's. I have a friend that has a GT-350 and a shelby Cobra, both numbers matching. He is in the process of buying a GT-500 and maybe another GT-350 too. I hate him so much.

I wonder if the 15 years Paragon has been in existence has anything to do with the 17 years it took to get the thing back on the road...LOL. Yup, the side stripes are on the list, as are door panels, exhaust tips, original wood steering wheel and a few other odds and ends. More pics to come if you guys are interested.

What's cooler and more rare than that GT500? Maybe a 968 Turbo? Hmmmm.....

As if the 968 TRS wasn't enough, I now have one more reason to hate you.

So, now that the Shelby is painted, how about a celebration? Say, 25% off all products at Paragon?

Not really sure yet. It's a 428, .030 over, dual Holley 600's, pretty healthy Crower Cam, 10.5 to 1 pistons, roller rockers etc. When we were building the motor my engine guy called and said " I just want you to know that this thing is going to make a lot of horsepower". I said great. He said, "no, you don't understand, it's going to make a LOT of horsepower".....LOL. I'll never forget it. It ought to be pretty fun no matter what.

Looks great Jason !!!

In 1970 my Dad passed on buying a 67 Shelby for $1000 because it had a small dent in the 1/4 panel, we have both been kicking ourself ever since

Hmmmm....I just placed a big (for me) order for suspension parts from Paragon and the next day he's showing a GT 500KR........ Sounds suspicious. Sort of like how your dentist tells you that you need more bridge work to make the payment on his BMW. Make me wonder what else is tucked away.... *lol*
