Can anyone tell me what this turbo is? Is it an 11 hot and cold side? Is it any kind of useful upgrade for a 951? 27 11/11 Turbo Link

since it was intended for use on a 930 (3.3L 911 turbo engine) which has substantially more displacement than the 951, this turbo will be too big to be of use on a 2.5L 951

Not necessarily.
It's a very nice turbo for hybrid: take that compressor housing, comp. wheel and backplate and put it to K26/8 center and hotside. Since the shafts are both the same diameter and backplate bolt pattern is the same too, it will be basically a bolt on job.
The comp wheel must be machined down a couple of mm's from the nut side (K26 shaft is a bit shorter) and the whole unit must be balanced + the K26/8 center section needs to be rebuilt in a shop.
I have K26/28 (w/ 29 comp wheel) done that way on my 931 and my two of my friends have 951 that both have K26/27 hybrids. The one that has driven for a season is 951 cabrio and is VERY fast car. Second will be 3.0 for this spring

If you use this on a 2.5, your car will be slower than stock.
I have a #10 housing which I don't even use and the compressor on my turbo will push almost TWICE the air of that 27.
You won't gett 1 bar until 5000 revs and then you will only get 340 RWHP MAX(maybe a few more witth ZERO backpressure
) - very very poor turbo choice!!!!

The 7200 Series turbo will work on the 951, the 11/11 is way too big for the 2.5L (it's laggy even on the 930). Sweanders, post on the 930 board, your turbo will sell in no time.
Also, when upgrading to a K27, make sure the compressor wheel is thread matches the K26. The 7200 is fine, some other K27 variation is a reverse thread, in the old days many upgraded K26 came apart because of it.

John, I currently have a K26/8 and a K26/6. Is that what is being said? That I can take the K27/ll 7200 and use the hot side of one of my turbos to create a K27/8 or K27/6? Is the K27/11 7200 any better suited to this than any other K27 Turbo?
