Crankcase vent again - anyone try venting to exhaust?

This shows the finished project w/a view of the whole installation. I admit it's not as 'racer boy' as a 'real CC', but it works great and I got about $30 and a few hours in it. I was worried about heat from the exhaust manifold getting to this and my heater valve. I had seen someone online has a heat shield that bolts to the bottom of the water pipe above the exhaust manifold, but they wanted $98 for it. I got some sheet aluminum at HD while I was there and cut it in two. I then pop riveted it together w/spacers in between and bolted it in the holes provided by Porsche. That was about $7 for that. That works great too and cuts down on the heat in the engine compartment.
I hope this helps some of you guys because this has been discussed about as much as oil and anti freeze. Maybe some one has a better idea.
