Keep this going, I have a oil leak from my turbo I need to put it and check everything, but if I am going to pull everything out, I am going to upgrade. Leaning towards the K27/6 but would like a K27/8 in there. With the upgrades I already have and would do with the turbo, it would spool almost if not faster then a stock K26/6 turbo 951.

Im glad to see someone try this combo as this is what i have wanted. I have wondered how the vitesse hardware would wake up a k27/8.. im planning to run at 18psi so should be close to the 300 I have planned...

I wasn't informed of any modifications on the cylinder head, but that doesn't give an excuse to start something. Looking at the thread and posts, the only 'issue' discussed was if it Shane's car was a 2.8L or a 2.5L.

Point is. A maf and turbo alone will not produce those numbers. As you can see he has a freshly built motor (means alot) with headwork/cam and a semi upgraded clutch. I had that car confused with shane in cali. Who has a 2.8. with similar output. HP isn't cheap.

I am in calif but, the car is a 2.5L. it has fresh rings well they have about 20k miles on them. my head had D shaped ports, chevy valves and aftermrket valves springs with titaneum retainers. I am using the wide fire gsk, o ringed head. standard mass air 75mm with chips. 52lb injectors. most of my internals such as piston top, head chambers, valves are ceramic coated. stock exhaust system other thabn a birch test pipe.

Well for comparison my car with AFM, K27/8 (with some mods, not sure exactly what but 360 thrust bearing rings a bell) 55lbs injectors, guru chips, Profec Bspec1, FPR, Tial running just under 18psi IIRC, AFM, essential styling exhaust, dyno dynamics BOV, small boost leak somewhere produced these graphs last year, 329.1flywheel 278.9rwhp

(thanks Rick)
Engine over 150000 at time of run.
Those were not the best set of chips I ran, the 15 psi ones were much closer for fuelling - but no runs on a load dyno, so I only only have overly high graphs in earlier configs (before EBC and injectors).
MAF will be my next mod, but currently my head is off awaiting new valves the old ones had worn stems. Guides, light skim and casting clean up are also on the menu.

Thanks for the info. The reason I asked about the clutch is because my stock clutch gives out at around 350 whp. I knew it wasn't a stock clutch you had. I can also bet that the headwork you have is giving you 30 to 40 rwhp. Do you agree?
