Default K27/8 Chips

What chips are people running with the K27/8 ? I know Guru makes one. Any other plug-and-play options or are custom chips required ? I have a K27/8 on the bench ready to go in. BTW, I'm not intending to start a K26/8, K27/6, K27/8 which is better debate

I've searched the achive and found lots of old discussion on this... I'll ask again for a fresh view.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm looking at $800 from Vitesse for chips and therefore no sense in starting with the AFM - should go to MAF right from the start to avoid paying for two sets... sheesh, that's big money for chips... looks like a K27/6 might be easier after all...

I believe that John can make you K27/8 chips for the MAF as well.

John's chips and MAF are great but I know some of us are cash limited. If thats the case I've got an Autothority MAF with K27 chip for sale. I'd like to get get $650 for it...

Here's my predicament (not really a bad one to be in, really):

- K26/6 with AFM is in the car now with Guru chips
- Have a K27/8 to install
- thought the first step would be to put in the K27/8, keep the AFM and get K27/8-AFM chips somewhere (John can probably do these as custom)
- later upgrade to MAF and get K27/8-MAF chips (John can probably do these as custom)

OR I can make a K27/6 out of my two turbos and get a set of K27/6-AFM chips from John (he lists those as a "standard" item) and upgrade to MAF later

Andy- Who made your k27/6 MAF chip? Are you interested in selling it separately from the MAF?

Mike, I'd need to sell them together, it's all from Autothority.

We do not offer K27/8 AFM chip. Best to go directly to the MAF kit which comes with the latest chip/board.
