Question Help with these symptoms?

Hey guys, I fixed a stumbling problem and idle problem I had by fixing the FPR, fuel dampener, and fuel pump. Currently I have two problems. One, I am not boosting much over 1 bar on the stock gauge. It is not the cut off problem at 1.2 bar that I have read about on these forums. The power is smooth, just not what it should be. Everything in the engine is stock. The second problem I have is that the car runs sluggish when cold, no boost, and bucks a little. O2 sensor sound right? Thanks for the help guys

Fixing the FPR, Damper and pump? Did you replace something? With new or used parts?

I'd say you have a huge boost leak, check all your connections. J boot, intercooler lines, etc. One is probably loose, cracked or otherwise leaking. The O2 sensor is unlikely to have anything to do with this problem.

Did you have boost before you fixed the FPR problem? Sounds like you have a vacuum leak, but it doesn't need to be massive, a crack in a vacuum "tee" can produce the loss of of boost. If you still have the cycling valve (the round brown and tan drum shaped object under the rear of the inake manifold) may also be worth looking at.

Regards,

everything I replaced was with new parts, prior to fixing my fuel problem, I was not getting full boost! I was where I am at now.

I think Scott got you pegged, vac/boost leak somewhere. Vac and boost leaks will affect everything you've talked about and is one of the easiest and cheapest repairs in the DIY area.

thanks guys, I'll try that lindsey racing vaccum kit. I figure those hoses are old enough it certainly can't hurt to replace them anyway.
