Very impressive numbers.

I'd love to have a beast like that in my garage....

400whp is a walk in the park for us now. There are enough guys/companies working now that it can be done relatively cheap. Most of the higher up cars are 600+whp, and that have been done at home in a garage, no professionals.

What really impresses me(and I don't have a turbo BMW) is that as I troll other boards, MR2 Turbo's, 240sx's, etc, it always baffles me how far off their dyno graphs are. Our graphs, even at smoothing factor 0 and 1 are by far cleaner than most of the japanese cars that have years of practice. Thats what impresses me most is that our bolt in chips and flashes are 97% perfect.

As a disclaimer, I can't say that I have seen many 951 graphs, so I can't really compare, but the few higher HP well tuned guys have great graphs as well.

Wes

Edit: ICS is also at 635whp on a stock engine other than a lower compression headgasket. Just got a stand alone, planning on seeing an easy 700whp on a bone stock 2.8L . www.turbo328.com .

They now have an e36 m3 running a 76GTS Turbo at more than 977rwhp.
Here is the graph with SAE correction:

They have well over 1000rwhp now, but as a result of their upcoming European Car article they cant post graphs or give the RWHP #...hopefully in the coming 2-3 months the issue will be out.

The 2.8 wont easily eclipse the 700rwhp mark, as the 635rwhp was on nearly 26psi and 110octane. They also are encountering some issues with the cometic gasket they are using, etc. I am sure they will hit 700rwhp +, but it will take a little while.

The website for this 1000rwhp + m3 is www.icsperformance.com

635whp was at 26psi, but the headgasket didn't start to seperate until he was pinging at the track, 2bar and he boosted more, estimating 31psi. Thats pretty noble for the gasket to start to seperate. Furthermore 635whp was on a tuned stock ECU. With the standalone, you are opening up more doors for tuning.

No one has said or stated that they are over 1000whp. They haven't said anything. And honestly it doesn't really matter, they don't have traction anywhere. Hell, in a 350whp Turbo M3 with 245's, we were struggling for traction until 3rd.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that neither of the cars are yours or mine, and neither of us have ridden in the cars. So everything is all hearsay. For all we know, 977whp might just be a magical number, so might 635. Its just nice to see the bottom end holding up at that high of boost. What I don't agree with is ICS's prices. $21k to take a 99' AA Stg. 1 M3 to a GT35R setup. He already has the $10k dollar AA turbo kit.

George From ICS showed me that turbo before he installed it. He also told me that a turbo e36 costs around 30K to build. Not exactly a bargain. He also owned a 951 years ago that ran a 11.9 1/4 mile with a k27.

Hi Guys,

Yes we are the facility responsible for these insane BMW's. The real big board, where the most powerful BMW's in the world are can be found here:

Boost Junky 500+ WHP Group

We put the US on top after taking a long time position holder down.

We do alot of Porsche work and have 3 inhouse, 993, 996, 930.

Wes: When we redo any manufacturers "turbo kit" we barely use any of the original parts, we sometimes retain the log manifold and a few other pieces. Majority of the new parts are ICS custom pieces. Such as our 4" lower intake, custom IC's, our fuel systems and much much more. Diff gets dealt with, chassis needs to be re-inforced etc...This all adds up fast...

BTW, all of our big builds have full interiors, stereos and AC!!!

Want some video: Check this out

Check out European Car in a few months when the "Bumble Bee" E36 M3 is on the cover. That car currently is the most powerful BMW in the world and is getting a full feature cover in that issue followed by 4 more ICS BMW builds. Happy Holidays everyone.
