944 Turbo S track pictures.
Hello guys, I got to enjoy my turbo S on track over the last weekend, and got some descent pictures, thought you guys might like them. The crowd included some interesting cars. Also, I'm considering selling this car, e-mail me if you're interested (it looks good, and mechanically it's perfect down to the last washer).
Anyway here are the pictures:
Passing the e46 m3 in a pack (yes the challange ferraris passed me/viper on the next straight)...
Chased by the Lambo:
You never know who drives what, and what car has what in it at one of these... The STi behind me was making well over 400ft-lbs, and on coil overs/slicks, easily faster than the mazda race car you can just see in this pic., the white M3 had a very worked euro engine (the guy owns the 360 challange car as well if I'm not mistaken):
(near the end of the second day, all dirty!)
Here's a link to one of my galleries, I may add more pictures later:

The car ran great, the oil pressure never dropped below 3.5 bar at warm idle, no leaks, didn't use fluids, brakes were great, and it never even warmed up (below the first mark on the gauge at all times). It's chipped running 15psi. It's begging to be lowered and stiffened (bone stock suspension right now), and some R comps, but even the way it is, it was a lot of fun.

Nice car I love your pics they are going into my collection, but please tell me that Wrx STI did not pass you.

Ahmet: Nice pics pal, very nice. Man I am soooo jealous of ya! I bet that was a total blast, right? And watch out for the challenge cars, if the guys can drive, they are fast. Even though that 355 is older, it still has some grunt. I've driven both a Ferrari F1 355 & F1 360, sweet sounding beasts. But I still "love" our cars to death. And you didnt say what kind of event it was? Who sanctioned it or what association ran it? And damn, how cold was it near ya?
Lart: Don't do anything silly with his pics, he has a copyright protection on them too, so be forewarned!

Imprezas are fairly capable cars in the right hands. Now, it almost never happens that they end up in the right hands. STI/Evo drivers are the biggest bunch of ******* ever.
My brother's impreza coupe is about to get a rwd conversion, I hope it goes better after!

Oh yes, the STi passed me... I've passed (lapped in a 1 hour session) a new viper on custom wheels w/r comps, exhaust, and cam, as well as custom brakes. I've passed several corvettes, several 911s and all the "normal" cars, and a few tube frame race cars. The Ferraris, the red viper, an RSR and two corvettes as well as an evo were all that gave me trouble. The STi was one of the fastest cars there, he said somewhere around 440ft-lbs @the wheels, which have slicks on them, custom wheels/brakes, and coil overs, etc. It was one FAST car (very well driven also).
This was an open lapping day. I'm a solo driver in the advanced group, you see me with a passanger sometimes, that was taking people out for rides. I logged about 500 track miles on the car, it really was a blast. I can't believe how this thing takes it. I'm really enjoying taking well set up 944s to the track, it's a different experience than vettes and BMWs. For as much crap as people give 944s' reliablity, my last few haven't given me ANY trouble, nor do they detoriate or start feeling sloppy after 20 minutes...
I say this, and it makes me want to keep the car, but this is one of the 7 cars I've had on track, and I don't want to stop the variety now... Then again it doesn't make sense to keep buying cars and going over them, doing maintenance, checking them over, just to pass them to somebody else all the time...

That is a beautiful car and looks like you had a good time out their. I am good friends with JJ who used to go to State and roomed with a guy that bought your silver turbo. I would love to run some events like that some day. Good luck with what you decide on the car.

The guy who bought my Silver car is my current roommate. He's bought 2 other cars from me, and I actually almost bought one from him. We kind of want to set up identical cars (different platform) and go racing, that's a big push for me to sell this car too.
JJ is a cool dude, I drifted his 240 for a while, VERY fun car!
