Lightbulb The "Search Topic" Function

Considering, I am a self proclaimed "know-it-all". I decided to learn a bit prior to posting another repeated topic that only annoys long time users.

Wow!!!

I logged in to rennlist and this particular Forum!
Then dragged the little arrow to the upper right corner of forum. I then clicked the search function looked up my topic and found what I was looking for!

What a relief. I did not have to annoy anybody or show just the whole forum just how much I did not know. I found loads of info on my topic and will handle it accordingly

If everyone only used the search function and never posted new threads, be it on old topics, no new informaiton would ever come to light. We would all be operating under info and topics from 1, 2, 3 years ago.

One problem - the search system "ignores" strings that are too short, which kills two letter acronyms such as "CV"

I like using the "Advanced Search" to look for posts from a specific member or search more than one forum.

The character length restriction is annoying...

Whenver I post, I try and do the short and long name both in title and thread.
The advance search function is nice, but it has plenty of issues. But I am a fan of search first....avoid the search shark

Old topics could be brought to life unless they are severely hi-jacked.

Recently I noticed it ignores strings that are too long as well! "speedforceracing" for an example.

also wanted to say it really helped me out when I was looking for some detailed info about my 968 conversion. I was able to find numerous threads will all kinds of pics and information

which im happy to say btw is going really well. Right now they are wiring around the power rear hatch release and im trying to decide if I want him to a seam welded into it and mold the bumper around that(which is like every conversion I have ever seen) or if I want it to be seamless.

Yeah, but I'm sure some people just get off on flaming n00bs. What would they do for kicks if there were no more "shoudl have searched" threads ?
